The Origin of Bullshit

In the time of when animal feces was traded as currency, the shit of the bull was seen as worthless.

People would try to pass off bull shit as cow or horse shit, both much richer in nutrients.

But people educated on the matter could tell the difference and would point it out saying "That's some BULL shit right there!"

Finished Reading The Celery Stalks at Midnight

Well, I FINALLY just finished reading "The Celery Stalks at Midnight" the third book of the Bunnicula series!

I think I definitely need to read the other Bunnicula books, including the first two.

This book was light and a lot of fun!

Untitled

THE BIG MONEY DONATING FOOD, BUT YOU CALL IT A TRASH CAN.
WHILE OTHERS GET TATTOOED, I SCRAPE MINE OFF.
...MY BLOODIED SHOULDER STINGS ECSTASY IN THE WATERS OF THE SHOWER.

THE BIG MONEY DONATING FOOD, BUT YOU CALL IT A TRASH CAN.
WHILE OTHERS GET TATTOOED, I SCRAPE MINE OFF.
...MY BLOODIED SHOULDER STINGS ECSTASY UNDER THE WATERS OF THE SHOWER.

THE BIG MONEY TATTOOED,
I DARE NOT TO CONFORM AGAIN.

THE BIG MONEY TATTOOED,
I SCRAPE THE LIES AGAIN.

Powerful Sunday

God creates a day off.
Man dedicates it to torturous worshipings of benevolence.
God thinks: "Dumbass."

Från en Lidande Slummer

Jag började titta upp mot himlen igen.

Världen känns så liten...
Men är du fortfarande så långt borta.

Även om jag inte kan beröra dig,
Jag kan känna dig inne i mig.

Jag känner mig vaken igen.

The Angel of Death

I woke up in the middle of the night to see in the dark corner of my bedroom's open doorway, the Angel of Death. It is said that the Angel of Death is actually one of mercy, helping one's soul find peace. But this was decidedly not the Angel of Death man has known so well through his time of mortal existence. I knew in those few moments that this was one reserved for passage into the darkest torments and the deepest sufferings.

I turned my head, closed my eyes, looked away...the Angel remained in the corner of my doorway staring right into me. I glanced around the room, moving only my eyes, attempting to find solutions as to why I had never seen this delusion before in these few years I've lived here...no answers. Nothing was so much different that it could explain away the presence before me.

Finally, I got up, compelled myself out of bed, walked right through the doorway - where the nightlight of the hall promptly heeded the call to action - set destination to the kitchen, poured and emptied a glass of water, walked back to my chosen place of slumber, and stared into the corner of the doorway once again.

With nothing moved, nothing changed, and even the vivid mind and vision of an artist and his imagination, I was not able to recreate the form of the Angel which had only moments ago appeared before my eyes.

Shelter

"Shelter" - March 2009
24" x 30" Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Oil

Shelter is my first completed oil painting. I really wanted to bring across a sense of love and comfort through Shelter.

After posting it online one day, a friend of mine told me it reminded her so much of her and her daughter, that she just had to have it. It felt good, knowing the message I had in mind had successfully come across. A few weeks later, she posted a picture of Shelter hanging on a wall in her home.

Angels

"Angel Wings" - June 2011
24" x 30" Gallery Wrapped Canvas
Acrylic

Angels is a series of semi-abstract angel artwork based around vivid colors, bold brushwork and unrestricted forms and emotions.

This first painting, Angel Wings, was actually a completely different painting which never sat well with me, so I painted over it. This revisited Angel Wings painting was then sold that very same evening to a wonderful friend of mine. As soon as she expressed interest, I knew I had painted it for her. I am so glad she has Angel Wings to watch over her.

Angel Wings was repainted LIVE on Ustream! The recording can be found here.

Free Love

It seems to me the term "Free Love" is often used by this society as a guise to cover selfishness and ultimately uncaring for others. Although we are each truly responsible for our own actions and reactions, we are a social race consciously/unconsciously choosing to be dependent upon one another - although this dependence may not necessarily be reciprocated.

All too often our paths join under "Kindness" then begin to separate as one person believes they have become stronger and more independent, leaving the other longing for comfort and security. This isn't free love. This isn't ultimate kindness and enlightenment of the world surrounding one's self. This is an act of selfish cruelty upon a person one has made at least a brief bond/connection with. This isn't love. This is using. This is abuse.

"Free Love" should be about kindness towards all without judgement - the understanding that we are all perfectly flawed. I am not you. You are not me. We can never fully understand each other, but we may accept.

"Forgiveness" is an interesting term. Some teach the way of "Forgiveness". But, who are we to judge, and therefore, who are we to "Forgive"?

Become vulnerable to kindness. Open your hearts to caring. There is no need for trust once one has learned true acceptance of others.

Free love... Love freely... One should honor, respect and care for those in one's life.

"Free Love" should be about caring so much about one another that you would do anything positive for that person, unconditionally and without judgement.

Unrealized Slumber

We are screams of isolation, desperate to interact, longing for the carrot of physical contact to satiate our unrealized hunger.

Solitary Refinement

We're told to yell "Fire!" when in trouble, nobody responds to "Help!" or "Rape!"

A man is on his second year of Solitary Confinement. He has 96 years to go on his original 12 year sentence for selling stolen computers.

A dog was killed today after being picked up off the streets, having run away from years of abuse by the hand of his former Master.

Some kid is wishing a bug would crawl his way so that he could have something to eat, while I throw away this apple because it has a small, brown spot on it.

Some people dream of Luxury Cars and Penthouses, while others, already beaten, are turned away from Sanctuary. There is no Money for you at the Inn.

I'm pissed off I can't get another 30 Million Dollar Contract. I have houses to feed. But I will prey for you and your starving dog living on the streets.

Oh, did I mean "pray"? No, I guess not.
